ECOtality - a renewable energy development company

Greetings friends of ECOtality,

As fall is quickly approaching, we would like to inform you about the Hydrality developments, the recent acquisition of Innergy Power Corporation, and provide an update on the activities of Fuel Cell Store.

On Friday, October 5, 2007, ECOtality’s science team attended the COMSOL Multiphysics Conference 2007 in Boston, Massachusetts. At the NASA Tech Briefs Multiphysics marquee session, our team presented a technical report about the Hydrality project. Written by Tyler Williams of GreenMountain Engineering, the report, Reaction and Thermal Modeling of a Packed Bed Reactor for Hydrogen Storage, detailed the in-depth modeling of the Hydrality reactor behavior. The conference paper report further validates the Hydrality reaction and concludes: (1) Hydrality is safe due to the self-stabilizing reaction balance that prevents runaway reactions; (2) the Hydrality reaction is extremely efficient, operating near thermodynamic optimums, and does not waste significant water or energy in its processes; (3) the Hydrality reaction is self sustaining after initial startup and requires no extra heat supply. On October 1, 2007, ECOtality completed the acquisition of Innergy Power Corporation. Innergy Power is the only North American manufacturer of both renewable energy solar modules and rechargeable batteries, and its solar photovoltaic (PV) product line addresses the burgeoning worldwide demand for solar energy products and off-grid power. Innergy Power has a strong management team, a sound core of technologies with numerous commercial applications, and the company generates significant revenues. Looking ahead, Innergy Power will be a platform for further expansion into both energy storage solutions and solar applications as we are actively identifying new markets and applications for its technologies. Over the past two months, Fuel Cell Store has been busy receiving U.S. Department of Energy contracts, attending industry events, and expanding their product line through new distribution agreements. On September 5, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded Fuel Cell Store (www.fuelcellstore.com), the sole contract for up to $138,000 to provide hydrogen fuel cell kits for the 2007 U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl®. On September 25-27, Fuel Cell Store attended the 10th Grove Fuel Cell Symposium 2007, where they displayed their new products and were updated about the tremendous research and development activities within the fuel cell market throughout the U.K. Most recently, on October 5, FCS announced they have become the primary online distributor for the Medis 24/7 Power Pack, a portable power supply for handheld electronic devices and is the world's first UL listed commercial fuel cell for consumers. We appreciate your continued support and hope you continue to think green!

Thank you,

ECOtality, Inc.
